Your AI models,
chosen on evidence
New models ship every week, prices change overnight, and providers retire models with little warning. Sentinel watches all of it for you, tests every model before your work depends on it, and moves your AI off anything that breaks, before your people notice.
No model gets your work
until it has earned it
-
1
Watch
Sentinel reads official model lists, status, lifecycle and pricing pages and OpenRouter, and only admits models from makers it recognizes.
-
2
Candidate
A new model's claims are checked with real, budgeted calls: tool use, structured output, image input and streaming.
-
3
Test
The model is profiled and judged on real tasks. Chosen people can try it early in Test Mode, for a limited time.
-
4
Production
With a verified route, a profile and a passing evaluation, the model joins the pool your AI seats are hired from.
When a model breaks, your work moves on
Every route is checked every five minutes. A dead route or a slow provider is quarantined, and requests move to the next cheapest model that qualifies. A quarantined route has to pass three probes in fifteen minutes and then a thirty-minute probation before it is trusted again.
- 0.0 sProvider retires a model that several seats were hired on.
- < 1 sAffected requests move to the next cheapest qualified model. Work continues.
- 9 minThe retired route is quarantined and the change is recorded with its evidence.
From a real event: a provider retired a model in production.
Every morning, a report on
money that didn't need spending
The rule is simple: use the cheapest model that can do the job. Sentinel checks every hire against it and flags the exceptions.
The daily hire review
Each day Sentinel reviews every AI hire and reports unjustified use of top-tier models, hires where a cheaper qualified model existed, spend that went around the hiring rules, calls that could not be priced, and requests too big for the model they were sent to.
Savings that arrive on their own
When Sentinel admitted a cheaper qualified model, the cost per call of our own AI judges fell by about 80%, with no code change.
Audited selection
A selection audit runs 295 hiring scenarios without calling a single model, proving every hire picks the cheapest qualified option.
Defects caught on purpose
A traffic simulator plants defects in real AI traffic to prove the monitoring catches them. One run covered 2,170 hires for $3.56 of a $25 budget.
Open models for background work
Sentinel's own research and judging use low-cost open-weight models by default, and closed providers get a small weekly background budget.
You decide how much Sentinel may change on its own
Sentinel starts in Observe mode and changes nothing. Grant it Automate or Emergency authority when you are ready. Every change it makes is traced to its evidence and can be rolled back.
